According to a statement, four police officers were killed in the eastern county of Mandera after a police vehicle drove over an improvised bomb.
Subsequently, six other police officers were killed, the source said.
Officials also reported that two soldiers were killed after another explosive device hit a military vehicle in the coastal county of Lamu.
The Al-Shabab attacks on several targets have increased in the last months in Kenya as a result of the fact that Al-Shabab members fled to this country from Somalia.
