The tribute to Marti was part of the activities developed by the Cuban party delegation on the first day of work in this capital this Friday, which began with the official talks between Torres Iribar and Dinh Tien Dung, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and its secretary in Hanoi.

In the fraternal meeting, both leaders agreed on expanding and making efficient cooperation to take the bilateral relations to a new level, in line with the solid ties of brotherhood and solidarity between Cuba and Vietnam established by their leaders, Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh.

Troung Thi Mai, a member of the Political Bureau and permanent member of the CPV Secretariat, received the PCC first secretary in Havana and his companions in a courtesy audience this Friday.

Saturday’s agenda will include laying wreaths at the Mausoleum of Vietnamese Independence Hero, President Ho Chi Minh, and the Monument of Heroes and Martyrs.

Later, the visitors will travel to Me Linh district in Hanoi to learn about its socio-economic and agro-economic development models.

The Party delegation will visit Halong Bay City on Sunday and travel to southern Ho Chi Minh City on Monday, returning to Havana on June 14 after visiting agricultural facilities in neighboring Can Tho province.
