According to sources, Saudi Arabia and the United States announced Friday that representatives of the Sudanese Armed Forces and the RSF agreed to a 24-hour truce starting tomorrow, June 10, at 06:00 local time (04:00 GMT).
It was said that during the truce all types of combat will be suspended, neither troop movements, nor the use of manned aircraft or drones, nor artillery. The reinforcement of positions or rearmament of forces will also be prohibited.
Recently, civilian political groups denounced an unprecedented increase in the intensity of clashes in populated areas, which has already led to a higher number of fatalities among the population, who is suffering great uncertainty, without food, water or electricity.
The army withdrew from the talks earlier this week after accusing the paramilitaries of repeatedly violating the truce and occupying civilian facilities, homes and hospitals.
