The Cuban diplomat described Ding Hue’s stay in Havana and Santiago de Cuba as productive, broad, and comprehensive and stressed that immediately after the visit, bilateral contacts increased, which is bearing fruit in the progress of economic relations.
Hernandez made his remarks during a meeting organized by Vu Hai Ha, Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of Friendship with Cuba, and the participation of members of that group, representatives of the Communist Party, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
Ding Hue’s visit marked a significant moment in our relations, the ambassador said and added that Vietnam´s representative could see the situation in Cuba due to the aggressions and the economic stifling policy by the United States.
The Cuban ambassador also stated that several delegations from his country have recently traveled to Vietnam and mentioned some progress in economic relations resulting from those visits.
Hai Ha also commented to his guests about the development of the 5th session of the National Assembly, stressing its importance to continue implementing the decisions of the 13th Congress of the Communist Party and for the country’s socio-economic development strategy.
