The Cuban head of government, speaking Thursday at the plenary session of the Intergovernmental Council of the EEU, conveyed warm greetings and gratitude on behalf of the Cuban people and government to the union, which the country joined as an observer on December 11, 2020.
Marrero said that this meeting of the Cuba-UEE joint commission will give continuity to those held in 2019 and 2021, and will be an opportunity to analyze the potential and prospects for cooperation, investment and trade between the parties, in addition to promoting a broader exchange.
The strengths of each of our countries have enormous potential in joint projects related to industry, health, biotechnology, tourism, education, digital economy, e-commerce, energy and other areas of common interest, the Prime Minister said in his speech.
He also highlighted the results of the meetings to regulate the circulation of medicines and medical devices within the EEU, as well as the Union’s pharmacopoeia committee, which have resulted in immediate options for joint projects.
