Petro unfolded such information yesterday during a massive demonstration in support of his Government, whose main axis is the Total Peace policy.
On Thursday, the Peace Dialogue Table between the Government and the National Liberation Army (ELN), requested President Petro and the ELN’s first commander Antonio Garcia an extra day to hold the closing encounter of the third cycle of talks.
The request is aimed at finalizing details of the texts of the Cuba Agreements and their respective protocols, according to a communiqué issued by the sides.
On May 2, the third cycle of talks between the Colombian Government and the ELN began in Cuba, with the full disposition to achieve a ceasefire and the participation of society. The first one took place in Caracas, Venezuela; and the second one was held in Mexico.
