There is mutual interest in strengthening economic cooperation, the Angolan head of State, at a joint press conference with his North African counterpart said after witnessing the signing here of two memorandums of understanding.
During the official talks, they discussed the possibilities of investments in infrastructure works, agriculture, tourism, pharmaceuticals, cybersecurity, information and communication technologies, the president said.
They also recognized, among the priority areas, the issues related to defence and the use of water resources.
In particular, Lourenço appreciated the experience and capacity of Egyptian companies in the field of civil construction, with concrete reflection in the execution of large urban developments, including the country’s new administrative capital to be inaugurated by the end of 2023.
The memorandums of understanding signed on Wednesday dealt indistinctly with cooperation in the field of security and public order and technical assistance for the management of groundwater.
El-Sisi will continue on Wednesday to Mozambique and then to Zambia, as part of his current tour of southern Africa.
