The Director of the Serbian Poetry Festival Miljan Guberinic told the Cuban diplomat that this is the highest international recognition granted by his country to poets from all over the world.

The prize consists of granting a golden copy of the Smederevo medieval key and the bilingual publication of one of the winner’s books.

Guberinic told Rodriguez that Nancy Morejon is one of the most relevant voices of Cuban poetry nowadays, with deserved and important recognitions, so she can be considered as Ambassador of Cuban literature and culture.

Rodriguez, on the other hand, stressed that Morejon has reached an invaluable international prestige, devoting herself to the poet Nicolas Guillen´s work, with a deep emancipatory and social justice thinking. pll/ro/mml
