IRNA informed that Amir-Abdollahian congratulated Hakan Fidan on his appointment as foreign minister of Türkiye at a Sunday telephone call.

The head of Iranian diplomacy expressed hope that the expansion of relations between the two countries would continue during the new presidential term of Turkish head of State Recep Tayyip Erdogan, IRNA added.

Amir-Abdollahian also invited his Turkish counterpart to pay an official visit to Iran and stressed the need to speed up the expansion of relations between Tehran and Ankara.

Hakan Fidan said cooperation between Iran and Türkiye should continue at the bilateral and regional levels, adding that he will do his best to promote the development of relations between the two countries.
