French-Cuban forum on history studies meets in Paris

Paris, Jun 5 (Prensa Latina) The Conference of French-Cuban Studies on History Teaching began its first edition today at the University of Paris Nanterre with specialists from both countries participating. Academic and pedagogical issues are on the forum's agenda that includes meetings until Thursday, a follow-up of a visit of French professors and experts to Cuba in 2018.

Professor Felipe de Jesus Perez, from the Enrique Jose Varona University of Pedagogical Sciences of Havana, in statements to Prensa Latina, remarked that it is a work project with the Paris 8 (Vincennes à Saint-Denis) and Paris Nanterre universities, particularly with groups of Latin American experts.

We are carrying out a profitable exchange of experiences between schools of history teaching and research, with topics on the agenda that involve the techniques, tools and literature used in each country, in a mutually rewarding exercise, he said.

Perez was linked to teaching in 2016 with Paris 8, a stay that allowed activating the collaboration between the houses of high studies.

The incorporation to the initiative of the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte, represented at the event by professor María Isabel Bardina was also highlighted by the Cuban specialist.
