The event, running until June 9, is sponsored by the Fructuoso Rodriguez Perez Agrarian University of Havana. This meeting will run under the theme “with the University and innovation for sustainable development”. The Congress includes workshops and keynote speeches and combines face to face and also virtual attendees.
According to Maydolis Cabrera, head of the Communication department at the University, in addition to Cuban specialists, researchers from Angola, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, France, Haiti, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Russia participate in the Agrociencias 2023 Congress.
The First Training Workshop and Analysis of the Results of the Post Covid-19 Project are among the activities of the Congress. Green recovery for food, sanitary, and water security will be strengthened by financial and technological innovations for Cuba, Cabrera said.
The aim of Agrociencias 2023 is to generate knowledge and exchange experiences to promote the integration of the different areas related to education, economics and businesses, and social and physical culture sciences.
