“Buena Fe” singer values setbacks on tour of Spain

Madrid, Jun 5 (Prensa Latina) The lead vocalist of the Cuban musical duo Buena Fe, Israel Rojas, expressed today his "immense, unforgettable, unforgivable contempt" for those who cultivate hatred seen on his tour of Spain.

The musical group, with Yoel Martínez as guitarist and second voice, and Ernesto Cisneros on keyboards, ended their Spanish tour this Saturday with an applauded concert at the Marcelino Camacho auditorium in this capital.

When assessing the numerous mishaps they faced, especially in Barcelona where they were attacked in a fast food place by elements opposed to the Cuban Revolution, he admitted they were “the most difficult days of our career.”

“We received many tips and suggestions to return to Cuba and get out of the eye of such a media hurricane. But hey… what does one do with the people who bought tickets to listen to your music? What to do with the many who every day face hatred and the offspring of fascism in Europe and offer to accompany us?”, he wrote on his social networks.

Rojas considered there are injuries. In this sense, he indicated that the duo has seen noble and good people “who have offended us, for being misinformed. For listening and consuming junk information.”

I refuse to believe that they do it because they like to hurt. And many fake boots and profiles trying to chorus to harmonize the hate, he added.

“At this time, all my love for those who are already brothers. Those who raised their voices in solidarity publicly. Those who have received the blows that were meant for me. Those who traveled kilometers to listen to a song. Those who have given us shelter,” said Rojas.

In another part of his reflections, disseminated by Cubainformación in Spain, he stressed that the challenge on the near horizon is to continue with the best possible songs, “working hard as cultivators of love and good faith among human beings.”

He praised the increase of his followers in Spain and was pleased that Buena Fe’s music, especially the new album, is being heard much more in Cuba and in Latin America.

Regarding the imminent return to the Caribbean island, he commented they have been offered receptions, a great massive concert in Havana, entertainment and honors, but he stressed that along with the enormous gratitude, they prefer to reach “the embrace of our mothers, of our couples, our children and relatives, who have suffered so much”.

“We do not want to capitalize on these events for personal gain. There’s no need. We have done nothing extraordinary. We have only been ourselves”, concluded Israel Rojas.
