At the ceremony, the Tanzanian diplomat presented the style copies accrediting him as ambassador appointed by his country to the Government of Cuba, the Foreign Ministry reported on its website.
On April 6, Cuba and Tanzania celebrated the 61st anniversary of diplomatic relations, based on the fraternal friendship of the historic leaders of both peoples, Fidel Castro and Julius Nyerere, respectively.
The two nations are discussing the potential to expand the areas of cooperation in the fields of health care, agriculture and human resources training.
Cuba’s close collaboration made it possible to graduate dozens of Tanzanian students here, and Cuban doctors and nurses rendered their services at the Muhimbili Hospital in Tanzania during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Cuban Government appreciates Tanzania’s support at international forums and meetings against the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.
