Participants at the India-EU Connectivity Conference, being held in the state of Meghalaya, will discuss ways to increase communication capabilities in the digital, energy and transport spheres.
The attendees will evaluate concrete projects of joint execution, according to an official dispatch.
The event is a result of the India-EU Connectivity Partnership launched during a high-level meeting between the parties in May 2021, the source said.
The topics of the current meeting arose during the recently concluded India-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) ministerial meeting, Indian authorities informed.
Senior officers from the European Commission and the central and north-eastern state governments of India, as well as the above-mentioned neighboring nations, are expected to give their assessments during the Conference.
The views of private sector companies on initiatives to improve connectivity will also be welcomed.
