Cuba calls at ECLAC a surge in development cooperation

Santiago de Chile, May 30 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on Tuesday urged at the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) to open a qualitatively different chapter in international cooperation for Development in order to fulfill the 2030 Agenda.

Speaking at the first meeting of the Regional Conference on South-South Cooperation, the head of the Cuban delegation Raúl Mojena called for continuing to foster partnerships to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Mojena recalled that in 2021-2022 period, Cuba provided health assistances to 81 nations.

Mojena stressed the significance of promoting platforms and tools that, through South-South and Triangular Cooperation, favor access to technical assistances, the exchange of knowledge, capacities and the transfer of environmentally friendly technologies.
