Russian army prevents attempted Ukrainian attack in Zaporizhzhia

Moscow, May 29 (Prensa Latina) Russian troops prevented the entry of Ukrainian Armed Forces into the village of Lobkove in the Zaporizhzhia region, Vladimir Rogov, Chairman of the We Stand With Russia public movement, informed on Monday.

“The Ukrainian military command intends to create a screen in the city of Zaporizhzhia to attract Russian troops to this particular sector of the front,” the official assured.

The Russian intelligence services working with drones, thermographic cameras, and other modern technical means anticipated the Ukrainians’ actions, Rogov said.

Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced on February 7 the liberation of the village of Lobkove as part of the liberated territories in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Russia launched a special military operation on February 24, 2022, to protect the population of the Donbas region.
