The National Drug Administration is also working with the World Health Organization to study the storage mechanism, in order to guarantee the preservation of such supplies between Vietnam and neighboring countries, and WHO repositories, Le Viet Dung, deputy director of the Administration of Medications, attached to the Ministry of Health, told the local media.
The official also reported that medical establishments were called upon to make a forecast of diseases and demand in medicines they may generate, along with buying and storing drugs, especially rare and of limited supply.
The information about the preparation of rare medicine conservation centers was released a few days ago after Vietnam asked the WHO for help to guarantee the treatment of three botulism cases detected in Ho Chi Minh City.
