The president reportedly made this proposal while addressing the plenary session of the 2nd Eurasian Economic Forum a few hours ago.

Xi stated that the Chinese initiative would open up new prospects for cooperation between the parties and regional progress, especially given the changes in today’s world.

The head of State advocated for joining efforts to make the world a more open and inclusive site, with lasting peace and prosperity.

Xi also proposed to link the Belt and Road Initiative with several development plans of the Eurasian nations and invited their leaders to attend the high-level summit of this structure, to be held in Beijing in the second half of this year.
