In light of the Tel Aviv Army’s persistent aggression against Palestine’s occupied territories, the Executive Committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation recently highlighted the right of the State of Palestine to its sovereignty over the city of East Jerusalem.
The Committee released a statement denouncing that Israel, the occupying power, has no right or sovereignty over Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
It also condemned, in the strongest terms, the raid on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the violation of its sanctity, stating that it is a provocative move, unacceptable under international law, and represents a flagrant violation.
The Committee also demanded that the United Nations Security Council work immediately to end Tel Aviv government’s attacks against the Palestinian people which threatens security and stability in the region.
