“In various regions, old sources of tension are spreading and new ones are emerging, the negative burden of conflicts is accumulating. The peoples of many countries suffer dramatic consequences of coups organized from abroad,” Putin said in his address, which was posted on the Kremlin’s official website.
The Russian leader stated that this is directly related to the desire of various countries and associations to “preserve, maintain their dominance, impose their rules, completely ignoring sovereignty, national interests and traditions of other states.”
The world’s energy and food crises were caused by Western states, the President said, drawing attention to the fact that all of this is accompanied by building-up military capabilities and ruthless interference in the internal affairs of other nations.
The president also praised the fact that Russia has many allies and partners in different regions and continents. “We sincerely appreciate the historically strong, friendly and trustworthy ties with the states of Asia, Africa and Latin America,” he said.
“Together we will achieve the formation of a more just and multipolar world, and the ideology of exceptionality, as well as the neocolonial system that allowed the exploitation of the resources of the whole world, will inevitably be something of the past,” Putin said in his welcoming address to the participants in the 11th International Meeting of Security Representatives.
Putin went on and reiterated that Russia is ready for the closest cooperation with all interested states in dealing with common threats and the common challenges that humanity is facing.
“Russia, together with other countries, will definitely achieve a just world order, while the model in which some states develop themselves at the cost of others, will become a thing of the past,” he said.
