A series of discourses began in order to prepare the legislators for the parliamentary functions at the Havana-based Conference Center on Tuesday, taking into account that more than 64 percent of them will exercise this responsibility for the first time, Parliament President Esteban Lazo stated.
Wednesday’s agenda will also focus on issues such as lawmakers’ relations with the auxiliary offices of the Parliament and the work done by the permanent working commissions.
The normative project to link legislators with the places where they were elected is also on the list.
A workshop on Social Communication is scheduled for today afternoon, in which specialists and authorities related to the subject will participate.
The debate will set the stage for the second extraordinary session of the National Assembly in its Tenth Legislature, scheduled for Thursday, May 25, in which the Draft Law on Social Communication will be among its leading items.
