The Cuban president reminded at the 6th Plenary Session of the PCC held in this capital, that several measures and actions have been implemented given the complex situation the country is going through, according to the national television report.

The head of State pointed out that we should be more rigorous in the political and administrative guarantee of these measures “without forgetting that many of them, for their implementation and regulation, need components in foreign currency, which we do not have”.

Diaz-Canel analyzed the debates recently held by the country’s highest authorities in 15 territories, which he described as critical and without self-satisfaction.

The president called for further strengthening municipal autonomy, especially for food production. “Recovering agriculture is imperative but for that, investments must be made. in addition, it is essential to eliminate the chain of intermediaries in commercialization, which makes the product more expensive”.

The head of State also referred to the measures the country has been working on so as to attract foreign currency, achieve electricity stability, the quality and speed of foreign investments, and e-commerce.

During the meeting, the lines of work to promote economic and social policy guidelines of the Party and the Revolution were approved.
