Brasilia, May 23 (Prensa Latina) The Supreme Federal Court (STF) of Brazil will begin the trial of the sixth block of complaints filed by the Attorney General's Office against those accused of participating last January 8th in the attempted coup.

The judges will analyze the situation of the defendants individually, and if the accusations are received, the defendants should begin to respond to a criminal action in court, in which they can present their defenses and evidence in the course of the process.

At this stage, 131 complaints against suspects of participating in the coup actions will be analyzed.

225 of the processes were carried out against followers of former President Jair Bolsonaro; the said followers invaded the buildings of the STF, the National Congress and the Planalto Palace, the seat of the Executive Power. Another 25 faces charges of inciting violent protests.

The Prosecutor’s Office cites crimes such as criminal association, coup d’état, deterioration of assets, qualified damage and incitement to commit crime.

If the complaints are accepted, the accused will respond judicially for the protests.
