“After suffering a defeat in the city of Artyomovsk, Ukraine continued to carry out terrorist actions against citizens, and a unit of the Ukrainian nationalist group invaded the Russian territory,” the military source informed.
During the anti-terrorist operation, the aviation, the artillery, and the border guarding units of the Western Military District blocked and defeated the nationalists.
The remaining Ukrainian commandos were driven back to Ukrainian territory, where they opened fire until they were annihilated, the Defense Ministry stated.
According to the report, Ukrainian saboteurs broke through on May 22 after heavy artillery shelled the Kozinka international checkpoint and other civilian facilities in the Graivoronsky district of the Belgorod region.
