Thermometers exceed 45 degrees Celsius in northern India

New Delhi, May 22 (Prensa Latina) The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a heat wave warning in the country's northeastern region on Monday, after temperatures in this capital were recorded above 45 degrees Celsius.

South West Delhi’s Najafgarh recorded 46 degrees Celsius on Sunday, the highest maximum temperature of the season, specialized sources stated.

Other regions of the national capital also witnessed similar very high temperatures.

Experts confirmed a three-degree rise in the maximum temperatures over northwest India in areas of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, in West Bengal territories, and over Jharkhand this Monday.
