“It is with deep sorrow that we learned of his death. Our deepest condolences to his relatives, the Russian Government and people,” the president wrote on Twitter.
Kucherenko, who served as Russian State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, died on Saturday at the age of 46, according to an official dispatch from the Ministry.
As reported in the information, the official fell ill during the return flight from Cuba to Russia.
The plane landed in the Russian city of Mineralnye Vody, where he received medical attention, and despite of that, he died.
The official was a graduate from the Russian Peoples’ Friendship University with a degree in jurisprudence, headed various public structures, and participated in the implementation of public-state partnership projects in the social and educational fields.
