The meeting was held in the context of the 76th World Health Assembly, which is being held in Geneva from coming Sunday to May 30.
On this occasion both ministers assessed several issues to follow up on talks held past February in Azerbaijan, reported Portal.
Portal explained that bilateral health cooperation is currently being promoted in three pivotal directions: medical assistance, academic and scientific exchange, as well as biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
The Azerbaijani health minister, on the other hand, recalled and thanked once again Cuba´s medical assistance in his country.
At that time, a total of 235 Cuban health collaborators, belonging to two Henry Reeve medical brigades, served in the Eurasian nation, a fact that significantly marked the beginning of a new way for bilateral relations between the two countries.
