The actions, aimed at changing three kilometers of pipelines, are expected to be carried out in a 72-day period, during which experts are currently working on logistics and equipment in the areas to be intervened.
As explained to www.radio26.cu by the delegate of Hydraulic Resources in Matanzas, Antonio Hernandez, the works are considered the foremost to be carried out this year in the province due to its social and economic impact for the nation.
Martinez noted that the rehabilitation is necessary since the infrastructure has been in operation for over 30 years and there is a remarkable deterioration in the section, which prevents the adequate supply of water to the CTE.
The maintenance of the pipeline will be added to other reform processes that are being carried out after the major fire that took place on August 5 at the Supertanker Base in the Matanzas Industrial Zone, among which the interconnection of the diesel technological lines from the docks to the tanks and the base’s fire-fighting pump system stand out.
