Mexico has often reaffirmed its unrestricted condemnation of the hostile blockade imposed by the US government on Cuba, and declared its intention to lead the international community´s efforts to eliminate this unjust policy.
Likewise, Mexico has reiterated the pressing need for Cuba to be withdrawn from the arbitrary U.S. list of states sponsoring terrorism, a title that averts international financial transactions and hinders transactions from foreign companies.
Cuba-Mexico bilateral relations have shown more stability than with other Latin American nations. Even before Cuba was constituted as a Republic, the pathways between the two peoples were intertwined under a common purpose for sovereignty, progress and social justice.
