The academic forum, scheduled from May 29 to June 2, was conceived as part of the commemorative festivities for the 295th anniversary of the University of Havana and is intended to be a platform to study in depth the different research processes in which the university is immersed, the director told Prensa Latina.
The meeting will address issues related to biotechnology and biomedical sciences; renewable energies; environment and sustainable development; basic sciences; local development; scientific problems of higher education in the 21st century; economy and public administration; relations with the United States; public policies; cultural, archival and heritage processes.
During the event, delegates will attend colloquiums, lectures, thematic round tables, seminars, symposiums, workshops and students’ meetings, where they will discuss issues related to science, innovation and technology in order to promote the social development of the country and the cooperation of the university with its counterparts in the world.
Among the 35 open events to be held, the international seminar entitled “Fidel Castro, Malcolm X, Lucius Walker: Discourse Analysis and Contributions for the Curricular Formation of the New Generations of Educators” stands out.
