At the meeting, the leaders highlighted the new moment in relations between the two countries, according to the Presidency of the Republic on Twitter.
Havana and Moscow on Friday took actions in a new stage of economic-commercial relations, at the closure of the 11th Meeting of the Cuba-Russia Business Committee.
According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX) Ricardo Cabrisas, the theme commissions of the entrepreneur’s meeting identified new projects in transportation, agriculture, agribusiness, construction, tourism, among others.
The forum boosts not only relations between Russia and Cuba, but also between Eurasia and Latin America, as the two nations are key to inter-regional ties, Cabrisas noted.
Both nations have opportunities to strengthen collaboration in the so-called smokeless industry, by implementing the corporate and health tourism modality, he added.
During the event, Chernyshenko informed that Russia will resume regular air flights to Cuba as of July 1.
The official noted that the decision responds to a presidential order, and that the corresponding directive was sent to Aeroflot.
