An operation against cross-border transportation of cash allowed the seizure of 46,650 dollars in Pisiga, Oruro.
The money was seized from a person who was carrying it attached to his body on his way to Chile. According to a report, the trafficker failed to explain the origin of the money so he was arrested and put under investigation.
The anti-smuggling agency issued five records of passengers, leaving Bolivia bound for Chile, carrying a total of 182,057 bolivianos (26,000 dollars). The cases were transferred to the Special Force of the Fight Against Crime (FELCC) of the Police and the Oruro departmental Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding proceedings and investigations.
