Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kan’ani described such a statement as groundless. IRNA reported on Thursday.
The spokesman noted that instead of making baseless accusations, they should stop following the United States’ illegal sanctions that violate the principles of international law and human rights.
Kan’ani added that the G7 members are responsible for following unilateral and unjust policies that blatantly violate international regulations.
In the joint statement, finance ministers and governors of central banks of the G7 members expressed concern over any financial transactions with the Islamic Republic and the risks of such transactions.
