Modi will depart on Friday for Hiroshima, Japan, where he will attend at the special invitation of Prime Minister Fumio Kishida at the intergovernmental forum of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States and Japan itself.
According to the source, Modi will speak at the summit sessions on issues such as peace, stability and prosperity of a sustainable planet; food, fertilizer and energy security; health; gender equality; climate change and environment; resilient infrastructure; and cooperation for development.
He will also meet with his Japanese counterpart and other authorities participating in the event.
Modi will later travel to Papua New Guinea, to participate in the third Summit of the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (Fipic) on May 22nd.
The visit to Australia is included in his tour program, where he should participate in the Quad Leaders Summit, but the event was suspended due to the announced absence of the president of the United States, Joe Biden.
