According to a press release from the presidency, the two sides also discussed ways and means to strengthen Syria’s position and presence on the world soccer map.
The meeting was attended by Firas Mualla, president of the Syrian General Sports Federation, and Salah al-Din Ramadan, head of the Syrian Football Association.
According to AFC chief, efforts are being made by the entity he heads to provide logistical support and improve the conditions of soccer stadiums that have been affected by the impact of war and sanctions.
He stressed the Confederation’s readiness to provide all kinds of support to Syrian teams through available funds, and thanked the head of State for his ongoing interest in developing sports in Syria.
