The mayor of the village of Kisan, Mousa Ebayyat, reported that a group of settlers set fire to fields of wheat and other crops on land belonging to two Palestinian farmers in the community.

According to the municipal source, the assailants to the town located east of the city of Bethlehem, in the southern occupied West Bank, came from the nearby colonial settlement of Ma’ale Amos.

The Wafa agency reported that the Zionist regime seized properties from 10 families living in the villages of Jit, Fara’ta and Til, to the east of the city, to make way for a Havat Gilad colony.

According to experts, settler violence against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank is routine and rarely prosecuted by occupant authorities.

In addition, Israel severely restricts Palestinians’ freedom of movement by means of a complex mixture of approximately 100 fixed and mobile checkpoints; as well as exclusive roads for settlers and various other physical obstructions.

Official data estimates at more than 700,000 Israelis in Jewish-only settlements in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank, in violation of international laws.
