We currently have relations with Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, and Peru, with projects in several sectors, including water and sanitation, agriculture, energy, health, and education, Humen told Prensa Latina in this capital.
According to the executive, AFD’s vision is to support the “green transition” and actions to reduce social inequalities.
Regarding the projects’ financing, he pointed out that it amounts to nearly 1.3 billion euros a year and more than eight billion euros in the last decade.
The Agency works directly with Latin American governments, which as of the available funding, launch tenders for companies interested in implementing diverse programs.
The Agency states that its activities in Latin America are based on the historic and cultural ties between France and this region.
