The Arab League expressed its full solidarity with the Palestinian people and supported their firmness and legitimate rights to self-defense, and called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities in maintaining peace and exert the necessary pressure on the occupying government.
During a joint press conference with the foreign ministers of Jordan, Germany and France, the Egyptian Chancellor, Sameh Shoukr, called on the international community and the active countries and sponsors of the peace process to intervene in order to stop the aggression against the Palestinian people.
