The president said that agro-industrial companies and the entities of each municipality directly linked to food production need a greater impulse and better contracts that stimulate producers in order to meet the current demand of food.

Díaz-Canel argued that one of the main problems at country level is found in the production of milk, an issue also with difficulties in Matanzas and on which hard work must be done in order to reduce imports of the vital food that demands significant figures for the national economy.
The president reaffirmed that the US blockade will not cease, therefore, in every corner of Cuba, it is necessary to do maximum effort to move forward with work from the base that stimulates production, in order that people acquire food with better quality and lower prices.
According to the governor of Matanzas, Mario Sabines, companies of the province adopt measures to attract income, 12,000 hectares of land have been delivered for efficient management and trade, fairs are held as priority aimed at the production and supply of food. For his part, the Prime Minister of Cuba Manuel Marrero stressed the importance of being aware when establishing commercial alliances, meeting production delivery dates, systematically checking them and setting plans according to real needs.
