According to Valdes in an exclusive to Prensa Latina, the head of the Venezuelan diplomatic mission in Baku, Christopher Martinez, also attended the meeting.
Both discussed the development of tourism relations and the opportunity to expand cooperation.
Azerbaijani Chairman of the Board of the Association of Tourism Agencies, Goydeniz Kahramanov, also attended the gathering. He informed both ambassadors about the activities conducted by the entity with the member companies of the institution and its role in developing tourism.
Upon stating that Cuba and Venezuela are new but attractive destinations for Azerbaijan’s outbound tourism market, Kahramanov expressed interest in establishing bilateral trade relations, expanding cooperation, and increasing the attractiveness of these tourist destinations.
The Cuban head of mission mentioned Cuba’s tourism opportunities and destinations, noting that the Caribbean nation has close tourism relations with some post-Soviet countries and would like to see Azerbaijan among them.
