Russia, Türkiye, Ukraine, and the United Nations penned a deal in Istanbul on July 22, 2022, to unblock the supply of Ukrainian grain.
The document’s provisions indicated that the transportation of the commodity would be resumed in the Ukrainian ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk, and Yuzhny for 120 days.
In addition, Russia and the United Nations ratified a memorandum whereby this organization undertook to work towards lifting several restrictions preventing Moscow from exporting its agricultural products and fertilizers to world markets.
In November, this deal was extended for another 120 days till March 18, 2023.
