The Belarusian KGB reported to the local television channel ONT that the terrorists had hidden explosive devices in household appliances brought from abroad in order to commit the attacks.
Once in the Slavic country, several people were tasked to pick them up and not to ask questions, and at a certain moment it was planned to activate the packages to cause casualties and undermine the situation in the country, the KGB statement added.
The president of that security agency, Ivan Tertel, stated earlier that several people who were preparing attacks for May 9, were arrested in the country.
Tertel warned that attempts are being made to involve young Belarusians in carrying out these actions, and also stated that Minsk expects an increase in tensions.
