The Cuban writer Eugenia Palomares Ferrales is the author of the manuscript, published by Casa Editorial Verde Olivo in 2015 and republished in its digital version this year.

According to statements by representatives of the publisher, this new volume settles some of the debts that remained from the last edition and allows the reader to learn a little more about a woman who dedicated her life to helping an entire town.

Part of the work is made up of anecdotes that I heard at home when she was a child, recounted the author who since she was eight years old lived under the tutelage of the Cuban heroine.

“I wrote this book to show the great sensitivity that she possessed and also as part of a very personal commitment. I want to show the people that Celia was a teacher,” said Palomares Ferrales.

The work was presented within the Book Collection space of the Fidel Castro Ruz Center, an institution dedicated to the study of the life and work of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution.
