According to the Deputy Head of the KGB, Chairman of the State Control Committee of Belarus Ivan Tertel, the institution has sufficient information about the terror attack planned for this day, a date on which the former Soviet republics recalled the defeat of Nazi Germany in WWII.
In statements to the Belarusian news agency Belta, Tertel detailed “the attempts to organize terror attacks on our territory. And we strongly believe they were linked precisely to the Victory Day”.
Tertel warned about an escalation of tensions at the national level and stated that Belarus also faces the consequences of the international situation.
