According to statements made by the diplomat to Prensa Latina´s agency, the objectives of the visit, which included learning, exchanging and transmitting experiences from both sides, were met.
The head of the Cuban delegation, Vice Minister of Science, Technology and Environment Armando Rodríguez highlighted that the visits to different centers and meetings with Belarusian colleagues allowed them to get acquainted with a typical, previously studied structure.
He also stressed that there are many practices that should be studied regarding the economic operation of research centers, incentives for innovation, and science and innovating funding, amidst other issues.
Amidst the objectives achieved during the visit, Rodríguez pointed out the deepening of the policies to be followed in various sectors of science, as well as identifying counterparts and specific fields in which both countries can collaborate.
Regarding the latter, the Vice-Minister considered that they can be divided into two: strategic issues, which were identified by the delegation, and tactical ones, which should result from short-term projects to be determined by each group.
An important moment of the visit was the working session with the president of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences, Vladimir Gusakov, with whom they agreed to make a joint call for projects and work on their identification, Rodríguez concluded.
