The Foreign Ministry specified that the meeting will be led by President Xi Jinping and will be attended by his counterparts Kassym-Jomart Tokayev (Kazakhstan), Sadyr Japarov (Kyrgyzstan), Emomali Rahmon (Tajikistan), Serdar Berdimuhamedov (Turkmenistan) and Shavkat Mirziyoyev (Uzbekistan).
As Xi Jinping said, in the last three decades China and the said countries developed strategic associations, and reinforced the principle of good neighborhood and cooperation with benefits for all, which is considered a paradigm in the new model of international relations.
Data from the Ministry of Commerce estimated the value of commercial exchanges between the parties during 2022 at more than 70 billion dollars, with emphasis on Chinese imports of agricultural products, minerals and fuels, and exports of electro-mechanical machinery.
In addition, China’s investments in its five neighbors reached 15 billion dollars in gas exploration, manufacturing, connectivity and digital technology projects.
