Attack on Kremlin shows Ukrainian Nationalists prefer terror acts

Moscow, May 7 (Prensa Latina) The attempted drone attack on the Kremlin confirmed that terrorist attacks are a typical style Ukrainian of Ukrainian nationalists, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexandr Bastrykin told Sputnik agency.

The fact that this (drone attack) was conducted on the eve of the national holiday of the Victory Day is especially cynical, Bastrykin added.

On Tuesday night, two drones attempted to attack the Kremlin in what Russia has claimed was a Ukrainian assassination attempt against Putin. The drones were intercepted and destroyed.

Ukraine has denied involvement, alleging the attack was staged. There were no casualties and no material damage as a result of the incident.

Russian authorities informed that Moscow reserves the right to respond to the drone attack and promised to do so in a proportionate manner according to the degree of “threat Kyiv created for the leadership” of the country.

Every year, Russia and most of former Soviet republics celebrate the triumph of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany during the Great Patriotic War on May 9.
