Biden’s age is a hot-button issue surrounding his reelection ambitions, as he would be 82 if he won reelection, while Trump would be 78 at the start of a second term, The Hill newspaper reported.
The Washington Post-ABC News survey recorded that only 28% of voters are comfortable with the age of both candidates.
On the other hand, the survey emphasized that approximately one-third of Americans think that Biden – who is already the oldest sitting president in the country – has the “mental acuity” to be effective in his role and 33% say he is in “good physical health” for the job.
Likewise, 54% say Trump has the mental acuity necessary, and 64% say he is in good health.
Another third said Trump is “honest and trustworthy,” while 41% stated the same of Biden.
In April, Biden kicked off his campaign for another term as president, joining Trump in the race for what could end up being a rematch of the 2020 presidential election.
