Official sources stated that the talks include collaboration agreements in areas such as defense, health and science, which are part of the relaunch of a strategic alliance between both states.
The O Tempo newspaper, referring to the Ministry of Social Communication, assures that Lula is expected to propose a credit model for Brazilian companies so as to sell products to importers in Argentina.
Lula and Fernandez held a video conference on April 27th. According to Lula, they also discussed the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), which Brazil rejoined in April.
On his first international trip of the third term, Lula visited Argentina and Uruguay.
During his visit to Buenos Aires, he held talks with Fernandez and participated in the 7th Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.
