Members of the explosive deactivation team detected and removed the unexploded shells, as well as bombs and ballistic missiles that threatened the safety of local residents.
Although 70 years have passed since the armistice on the Korean peninsula, the shells found were in a dangerous state to explode at any time.
This mined area is the eighth of its kind discovered in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) since last March, and constitutes material evidence of the crimes committed by the US against Korean civilians.
